Barry DeBois originates from Ohio and lived in NYC for 10 years before becoming a proud resident of Chicago, IL. Barry was a Swing and the Music Captain on the Broadway National Tour of Once the Musical. He went on to play “Guy” in several regional productions of Once, including the Jeff-nominated production at the Paramount Theatre in Chicago. Barry originated the role of “Xander” in the first staged production of Sweet Dreams, the Air Supply Musical at the Kingsbrae International Residence for the Arts.
Other credits include “Dan” in the Jeff Recommended production of Next to Normal (Paramount Theatre); “Harry and “Charlie” understudy in the Jeff Award Winning production of Kinky Boots (Paramount Theatre, Chicago); “Robbie” in The Wedding Singer (The Secret Theatre, NYC); and “Lover”, “Captain Walker” understudy in The Who’s Tommy (Media Theatre, Philadelphia).
Barry has fronted several bands and performed solo shows in various venues ranging from playhouses to cruise ships all around the world. He’s also a proud member of Actor’s Equity.
