As a Chicago native, Rickey Rainbow grew up emulating the sounds of Michael Jackson and American Motown. By the age of 14; he was on stage touring and entertaining with a high level of professionalism. As his name spread throughout the industry, he received a request from New York to write musical charts for renowned artists in the music industry. He moved and lived in New York for several years where he met and worked with many current stars.
Rickey eventually moved back to Chicago to start his own writing and recording company; C.Rain Productions, before receiving an opportunity in London, England to be a staff producer and writer for Wam Records. This move elevated his profile and allowed him to write and produce for several well known acts. For a period of five years Rickey scored a number of songs and five Top Ten hits in the UK. He also was nominated for a Grammy for Best Album and Producer for the Reggae group Aswad’s album “Big Up”!
Today Rickey is writing, producing and managing his own acts from Chicago to London. He has been recognized in the entertainment industry as one of the best male vocalists in the Chicagoland area and is proud to have been able to share his talents in Park Avenue Orchestra for over 10 years. He is consistently known for captivating his audiences with enthusiasm and excitement at each and every performance!
